Ping Pong Hung Quoc Nguyen

“Pack! Pack! Pack!”

The unrelenting sounds of ping pong exchanges sing a song to my ears as my mind calms down after my game. The clubroom is filled with people eagerly waiting to have the chance to show off their skills and compete with their friends.

In the beginning of my senior year, spurred by my passion for ping pong, I revived the table tennis club at school. My club started out humbly with four members and old, torn paddles. I began to go around school, telling my friends about the club, putting up flyers on the walls, and setting up fundraisers.

Two months have passed, and the club has gained more than fourteen new members along with a plethora of new equipments. Running the club has taught me how to take initiatives in my life. Now, I’m proud to be the president of a growing community of ping-pong lovers.
