Stan and Joy Delaney are married couples envied by others. They have been successful in their professional life also, Stan as a tennis coach and Joy as a business owner. Everything looks great with the Delaney’s, but Joy and Stan are not happy with each other. They have four children: Brooke, Troy, Amy, and Logan. One day, a woman shows up at the door of the Delaney’s, injured and disheveled. Joy welcomes her and offers her to stay the night at their place.
The woman says her name is Savannah and that she had been beaten up by her abusive boyfriend. Joy is happy to help Savannah and let her stay in her home, but it is not the only thing Savannah wants from the Delaneys. The Delaney siblings are suspicious of Savannah’s involvement in their family. Joy searches Savannah’s room and discovers she is the sister of Harry Haddad. Harry became the tennis star player after he left Stan’s coaching. The secret of Savannah’s identity unfolds slowly, and the flashback shows that Savannah blackmailed Troy for money in exchange for keeping mum about her harassment by his father. After Joy confronts Savannah, she reveals that she came there to get revenge for the bad treatment she suffered a few years ago at the Delaneys.
Savannah’s mother wanted her to be a ballerina and did not let her eat. One day, she came to pick up her brother at the Delaneys and requested some food, but no one paid attention to her. The mistreatment made Savannah angry at the Delaneys. In the present day, before leaving the house, Savannah tells Stan that because of Joy, Harry Haddad left his coaching. The revelation leads to a nasty argument between Stan and Joy. After that, Joy disappears. The Delaney siblings get a strange text from Joy. Stan becomes the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Everyone notices Savannah is also missing, but they are busy resolving their problems.
At the end of the story, Joy returns home right before Stan’s arrest. She went on a tour with Savannah for a week without telling anyone. Meanwhile, Savannah is on board after locking her drugged mother in a room with a limited food supply.
