    Individual Writing

    Objective:

    Students will briefly outline a modern retelling of the play.

    Structure:

    Agamemnon in its original form is sparse, if not entirely lacking, in stage directions, meaning performers are free to interpret many aspects of the production as they see fit. Much in the way that Baz Luhrmann has updated Shakespeare with 1996's Romeo + Juliet, students will come up with a brief pitch (about 500 words) that explores how they would bring Agamemnon into the modern day.
