More than any other U.S. President before him, Donald Trump has inspired countless books. Among those books is A Very Stable Genius, which chronicles -- through the eyes of the authors and their sources -- the first three years of Trump's presidency. It covers things like his immigration policy, his new tax plan, and the repeal of the ACA, or Affordable Care Act, which was spearheaded by previous President Barack Obama. The title of the book was taken from Trump's own words on Twitter - words which he has used to describe himself quite often.
At its release, A Very Stable Genius received mostly positive reviews. Dwight Garner of The New York Times loved the book, writing that "this taut and terrifying book is among the most closely observed accounts of Donald J. Trump’s shambolic tenure in office to date." Still, the book drew ire from those who questioned the sourcing of the book and from conservatives. Nevertheless, A Very Stable Genius spent a fair amount of time on the New York Times bestseller list.
