Explain the predominant allusion in “The Stowaway.”
The stowaway recounts, “In the beginning, the Ark consisted of eight vessels: Noah’s galleon, which towed the stores ship, then four slightly smaller boats , each captained by one of Noah’s sons, and behind them, at a safe distance (the family being superstitious about illness), the hospital ship.” Evidently, “The Stowaway” is an absolute Biblical allusion to the Biblical Noah. The narrator who was among the chosen species to occupy the ark provides his/her viewpoint of the happenings in the art from the perspective of a stowaway. The short story is an extension of the Biblical accounts of Noah’s floods. Some of the details that are incorporated by the stowaway are tantamount to parody.

Summarize Franklin’s ideology of succeeding in Television. - “The Visitors”
Franklin explains, “The other secret about television… was how to know when to shut up and let the pictures do the work for you-You’ve got to get the fine balance between word and image.” Barnes adds, “privately, Franklin was hoping for the ultimate credit: 'Written, narrated and produced by Franklin Hughes." Franklin recommends that images should be incorporated as prime rhetorical devices in TV presentation. The images should corroborate the message provided in the words, and such images should be relevant for them to appeal to the audience.
