Investigations involving murder cases are sensitive because every person in the town is a possible suspect. Pip and Ravi are forced to disguise themselves as students researching the murder of Andie to avoid any possible suspicion. Andie's murder is mysterious because the prime suspect is her boyfriend, Sal, who is suspected of committing suicide after the incident. The real killers of Andie are also doing everything possible to hide their identities. Therefore, Pip and Ravi are cautious not to trust anybody because that can compromise their investigations. -

How does the author build the theme of corruption in the novel A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson?
One of the biggest evils in society is corruption. The people in power use their influence to corrupt the justice system. Therefore, a corrupt system can easily give leeway to criminals to continue causing havoc in society. To illustrate the evils of corruption and deceit, Jackson shows how Ward easily gets away with murder charges. Ward is the real killer of Andie, but he also kills her boyfriend, Sal, to hide evidence. People believe that her boyfriend murdered Andie, which is not the case. Pip and Ravi discover that Ward is the real murderer of both Andie and Sal. Ward uses his money and influence to cover up his evil deeds.

What compels Ravi to form a partnership with Pip to look for the real killer of Andie?
It is common to find that innocent people are linked to crimes they never committed. Ravi does not believe that his brother, Sal, killed Andie. In addition, Ravi does not believe that Sal committed suicide after the death of Andie. Therefore, Ravi wants to know the truth, which compels him to ally with Pip to undertake an undercover investigation to uncover the real killers of Andie and Sal.
