A Cop's Life: True Stories from the Heart Behind the Badge Character List

Jonny Rogerson

He is a hard-experienced policeman who has served the police department for over twenty-five years. He joins the police department after participating in the World War II as an Amy. At the police department, he is working as a desk officer to answer call and assign other officers on demand. The Narrator refers to him as an experienced old man who is dedicated to his job as a senior cop.

A group of Cops

These are the senior police officer at the police post where the narrator is starting to work as a cadet. The are regularly assigned duties by Jonny who is the desk officer. At first, they encourage the narrator to join the police department but Jonny thinks that he is too young for the job despite qualifying. The cops, however, think that the narrator is making a wrong career choice and should consider doing lucrative jobs as banking.

Robert Simms

Robert is one of the patrolmen in the police posit where the narrator is doing an internship as a cadet. He answers several questions asked by the narrator regarding the vacation tome and how one can avoid taking a retest if he wanted to retain his position in the list.

The Chief

The chief is the one responsible on who is remaining on the status list and that is why the narrator is doing everything possible to have an appointment with him. The narrator knows that slipping into position two in the list can make him wait for a whole year before rejoining the force as a cadet intern.

Dave Johnson

He is one of the patrolmen at the police department. He is working together with the narrator during the storm to dispatch the patrol cars to aid the victims of the flood and storm.

The Ninja Warrior

The newly appointed gang leader to lead his troops in criminal dealings. He has a stolen pistol. He is a teenage criminal and gang leader.
