    Why did the Nazis want to take the Holy Grail?

    Hitler and the Nazis were hell-bent on ruling the entire world and presiding over a so-called "Thousand-Year Reich." To do that, the Nazis decided that they would need a thousand-year army which would never die, so they started to try to find the Holy Grail, which would provide eternal life to all of those who drank it.

    In other words, the Nazis thought that they would need to use the Holy Grail to continue their reign of terror.

    Why was Indiana Jones called Indiana?

    Born as Henry Walton Jones Jr. (named after his father named Henry Walton Jones Sr.), Indiana Jones took his famous nickname from his childhood dog, who was called Indiana. As he began an adult career, Indiana's friends affectionately began to call him Indy.

    What does the Holy Grail do?

    An artifact which dated back to Arthurian legend, the Holy Grail provided eternal life to all those who drank from it - with a catch. In order to be able to live forever, the person who drank from the Holy Grail would have to stay in the Temple housing the Grail for the rest of their life and couldn't leave unless they wanted to die a terrible death.
