    Chapter 14 begins on page 97 with a list of "Things I never did with Genevieve." The first thing on the list is “Let our bodies touch and tell the passions that we felt.” This paragraph foreshadows the end of Gennie and Audre’s friendship. This paragraph sets both an ominous mood (because we do not yet know what happened to Gennie) and casts an intense feeling of sadness and longing. The reader begins to get a sense of Audre’s grief.
