Why is Ann so concerned about the health of Me. Loomis?

Ann does not know Mr. Loomis's intentions. He could be the only human left in the world. He could be of help to her. He could also be dangerous. Ann also doesn't know how sick Mr. Loomis is or if he is contagious.
