In Part 2, Section 3: What do we learn about Antoinette's feelings for Christophine? And for Rochester?

Antoinette looks to Christophine for advice, she sees her as a friend and confidant.

Antoinette's feelings for her husband are more complex. Initially, we believe she loves Rochester. Later, we come to understand that she doesn't want to be the subject of gossip or laughter, that she has no money of her own. This is why she asks Christophine for a love potion, though we're not sure why..... does she want her husband to desire her..... to reinstate their marital relations, or does she wish to disconcert him and possibly find a way out that will not lead to destitution.
