In the novel by James Joyce "Ulysses" is described only one day of the Leopold Bloom's life. Why did he choose June 16?
No one is certain why Joyce chose June 16th as the setting for his novel. Nothing of importance happened on that specific day, though, it is speculated that Joyce chose the day as kind of gift for his soon to be wife, Nora. June 16th was the first time the couple "walked out" together..... Nora changed his life.
