Touching Spirit Bear
why does garvey state "something terrible has happened to you to make you want to kill a poor small animal? do you agree or disagree with this statement? why or why not.?
chapter 1
chapter 1
Yes I do agree. REally, how we treat our animals is symbolic of how we respect the life of each other. Cole is just beginning to understand that all life is linked. We do not live in a vacuum. Cole certainly begins to change on the island when the little birds are knocked out of their nest. He understands the kinship.
I agree with Garvey because for someone to be mad enough to kill something, means you have been keeping your anger to yourself for a long time. Garvey also referrers to Cole in a way because he has been keeping all of his anger to himself. This cause Cole to take his anger out on others since he doesn’t trust anyone to talk to about his problems.
