He sees the Spirit Bear, also known as Kermode bear -also known as its scientific name, the Ursus americanus kermodei- There are only an estimated 400-1,000 Spirit or Kermode bears left in the whole world. They live in an undeveloped, beautiful forested area of coastal British Columbia.
