Explain how the relationship between cole and garvey change through out the novel

Well at first cole wasn’t open to him and was really closed off and was all like don’t talk to me old man. Over time cole relized Garvey was only trying to help and things stated to get better. Friendship started after the bear attack and really kicked off when they went back to this island. I feel like Garvey was always like a dad to cole, helped him out when he wanted it or not and told him what to do. 😂
