Why does Miss Stephanie think that the intruder in the Radley yard was a "negro?'

Miss Stephanie merely assumes this because of her inherent prejudice.With any "crime" in the town, she envisions a black person simply because of ignorance and generations of conditioning. Miss Stephanie has no evidence to prove this.

Thus, the "Negro" must be Mr. Radley.
