Aunt Alexandra does not like all the trust Atticus puts in Calpurnia. She doesn't think it proper that a black woman raises Scout and Jem. When Alexandra comes to live with the family (she invites herself) she thinks Calpurnia is not needed. Atticus tells his sister that Calpurnia is part of the family.
