Who is the hero of the novel: Atticus, Scout, or Boo? Explain why you think this.

It is generally accepted that that the protagonist of the book is Scout. The hero, however, depends on your definition of heroic. I find Atticus imbued with the most heroic qualities of any literary character I can think of. He stands up for what is right in the face of overwhelming opposition.
