What's happening to jem? Why is he moody and difficult to get along with? can you relate to this?

Jem is growing up.... he's a teenager, stuck in that time between being a young man and growing up. He's moody because he isn't quite sure where he belongs. He still loves the world of childhood innocence, but he is also becoming very aware of the "adult" problems surrounding him.
