Scout asks if she can attend Calpurnia's church again. Aunt Alexandra pointedly tells Scout that she "may not." This is when Scout tells her "I didn't ask you!". Scout does not agree with Aunt Alexandra's authority; her style of parenting is so different than Atticus's style of parenting.
