What mistakes does Miss Caroline make on her first day of class ?

Miss. Caroline makes the mistake of believing that a college degree prepares you for your first classroom experience. She expects all of her students to be at the same level, which doesn't endear her to Scout, who can read and write. She also makes inaccurate assumptions and puts students on the spot, calling attention to things that are generally known without having them discussed. All said, Miss. Caroline blunders her way through the first day, making things harder than they needed to be. None-the-less, I think she'll do just fine.
