What is the premise of the argument between Atticus and Aunt Alexandra?

Aunt Alexandra thinks it improper that Calpurnia took the children to the First Purchase Church and wants Atticus to fire her. Atticus refuses based upon the fact that Cal has done a great job raising the children, and they love her.
