What is Mrs.Dubose's goal?

Mrs. Dubose's goal was break her addiction to morphine before she died.

She has a morphine addiction which she battles constantly.  She is entirely racist and tries to turn Jem and Scout into children more like her.  She is evil and vile, but Atticus admires the way in which she tries to deal with her "demons."  Jem especially does not like her attitudes.
