To Kill a Mockingbird

What event or episode in Scout's story do you feel truly captures her personality? Scout ages two years – from six to eight – over the course of Lee's novel. Were there incidents or observations in the book that seemed too advanced for such a young child?

I believe the episode in which Scout attempts to intervene on Walter's behalf is the most telling to her personality. It illustrates her willingness to speak up, question authority, and also speaks to her skills in communication..... her argumentative side. We see that she has the makings of a lawyer.... just like her father.
