What do we mean when we talk about someone's social or economic class? What is it supposed to tell you about someone?

Society often makes judgments based on family background and money. Society has certain prejudices and preconceptions about people of low social class. They are seen as uneducated and somehow not socially or financially responsible. In many cases this is a stereotype but, in the case of the Ewells, the stereotype is accurate.
