Aunt Alexandra attempts to shape into what she believes to be a proper lady. Scout, on the other hand, is appalled at the thought of wearing frilly pink dresses, staying indoors, never having any fun..... and oops, no swearing. Scout is also confused by the "ladies", who when they are together, never say what they mean.
