Is there a quote that show show ignorance leads to prejudice thorugh symbolism?
Scout has a quote in chapter one that represents, in part, why the town is so insular and prejudice. They simply ignore the world outside of their small space,
there was nowhere to go... nothing to see outside the boundaries of Maycomb County.
but that doesn't show how ignorance ( not the act of ignoring) leads to prejudice
Refusing to consider the world beyond your own little bubble leads to ignorance. The people of Maycomb refused to consider ideas of tolerance and respect for blacks that was taking place in larger centres outside Maycomb.
through symbolism?
