No, it wasn't right to lie to Boo Radley Davis. Suppose you lied to your mom about finishing your homework. Would you consider to lie, or to tell the truth? Heck Tate shouldn't have lied to Boo Radley and Atticus about the trial of Tom Robinson.

Well, partly yes but no as well. All responses above are almost correct. Heck Tate and Atticus actually lied about the death of Bob Ewell, if that's what you're looking for.
