How can the reader tell the difference between the Legends & the Radley Family ?

Anything that sounds childish and bizzare is probably a legend. Boo Radley, for example, is not a nocternal monster who eats squirals.

"Boo was about six-and-a-half feet tall, judging from his tracks.....He dined on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch."
