how is taking a stand related to integrity in to kill a mockingbird?

This question basically relates to Atticus. For him not to take a stand and do what was right would have cost him his integrity. Atticus was honorable, and he stood up for what was right. He set an example for his children, the community that stood against him, and the community members who supported him.
