How does scout know as soon as she sees the jury coming in that it has convicted Tom?

From experience of watching many trials that her father has been involved in, Scout knows that a Jury holding a conviction will never look at a defendant. The jury did not look at Atticus either. This jury in particular had to be quite ashamed. They were convicting an obviously innocent man.
