How does Miss Gates's lecture on democracy reveal the blind hypocrisy of the Jim Crow South

I think this has to do with the plight of Jews in Nazi Germany. Miss. Gates lectures on the rampant discrimination and ill treatment of Jews in Europe yet in her own back yard, systemic hate and discrimination takes place against blacks every day. Scout has heard Miss.
