Personification - His face was streaked with angry tears as we made our way through the cheerful crowd. ch 22

Simile- The feeling grew until the atmosphere in the courtroom was exactly the same as a cold February morning. ch 21

Metaphor- "... a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the stupid man the equal of an Einstein." ch 20
