why does the narrator feel that he would be an interesting medical issue(chapter 1-three men in a boat?

 jerome fells sik and to know about his diseses he goes to the museum and he finds out he has all the diseases which a human bieng suffers from except the house maids knee.so he goes to the doctor and tells him that he suffers from all the diseases except housemaids knee.he was feels that he is an intresting medical issue as he suffers from most of the diseases.he also thinks that doctors will start fighting to treat him.but doctor tells him that he should do regular walk ,have a glass of beer every day and stop doing things which he cant understand
