The doctor was telling Jerome to stop reading books about medical ailments and diagnosing himself with all of them. He wants Jerome to relax and stop obsessing about diseases he has no understanding of. He basically asks Jerome to stop being such a hypochondriac

Doctor means that everyone has its own field and speciality a man cant be master of everything at a time
You dont have knowledge about medical field so you shouldn't in other's field and dont think about the things you are are not concerned with
