Metaphor:

“Okonkwo was popularly called the ‘Roaring Flame.’ As he looked into the log fire he recalled the name. He was a flaming fire” (Page 153)

Simile:

“. . . Okonkwo's fame had grown like a bush-fire in the harmattan . . .” (Page 1)

"You drove him to kill himself and now he will be buried like a dog"
