Structure:
Reading aloud for an audience requires voice expression and pacing so that the audience can understand and appreciate what is being said. It also provides an opportunity to learn how an author creates a character's "voice." Choose several paragraphs from the readings and ask students, in turn, to read aloud several lines at a time.
