Why doesn’t Ben Ross want the students to compete against each other anymore?
I dont really know why, but I´m assuming its because of Ben trying to teach his students about equality. Am I correct? If yes then why?

Ross is teaching his students about the dangers involved in getting caught up in the hysteria of a popular idea or ideology, how easy it is to fall under a type of orchestrated "mob mentality". It isn't so much about competition, as it is about the danger of placing one group above another.
