Why do you think Laurie said it, “it was supposed to give us a taste of Nazi Germany, not to make us into little Nazis.”

Laurie says this because the longer the experiment goes on, the worse things get. The students were supposed to be learning about how and why Hilter was able to influence so many.... not to repeat the same mistakes.
