Education involves informing people. Education also enables people to apply their knowledge and explore different possibilities. Indoctrination is merely imposes a set ideology onto people without any room to explore different ideas or possibilities. So, when Mr. Ross begins "The Wave", kids seem more disciplined but lack any creative or independent thought.

The difference is that the education you need to get some professional knowledge for further use in their work, the knowledge we get during College and University. And the education you receive at the time when you were born and your parents pass on the best quality they have received in my life. I even wrote about it on my blog: https://homeworkneeded.com/blog/college-popularity so if anyone is interested you can see when you have free time.
