The Wave

Was Laurie's attitude about The Wave changed by her conversation with her parents? Or had her attitude already begun to change before she told them about the experiment?

Laurie's attitude changed after discussing the Wave with her parents. Laurie's previous excitement waned slightly when her mother reacted negatively. Unlike her father, who believed that the organization and discipline would do the students good, Laurie's mother saw the experiement as too militaristic...... too group orientated at the expense of student individuality. Laurie thinks hard about her mother's opinion and accepts that she might just have a point.
