Laurie becomes disillusioned with the experiment. She finds the control Mr. Ross has and the cult-like behaviour of the kids disturbing.
David is deeply impressed by Mr. Ross’s new teaching techniques. Brian agrees but thinks that David is taking the lesson too seriously. In the bathroom, David reflects that the football team could be a lot better if he could just teach the players Mr. Ross’s version of discipline.

I think it would have been best for this student to read the book over the two months that they had and complete the assignment on her own. Big Brother is always watching. That's from another book, by the way.
