I can't write the entry for you but consider that Robert goes from an awkward outsider to a student with purpose and a certain amount of power. The wave changes the social structure that these kids are used to. For a guy like Robert, who was teased and excluded, the wave gives him purpose and meaning. When the wave is disbanded, Robert feels once again lost in the culture of teenage society.
