a- what event or events led Ben to organize the rally ?

Ben knew the wave was getting out of hand. His wife and the staff of the school were turning against him. Students who refused to join the wave were being threatened and beaten. Ben's social experiment had gotten away from him. Ben organized the rally to finally convey his lesson about fascism and conformity.
