How does Hambone Henderson try to discourage Wilona from marrying Mr. Watson? What do you think Mr. Watson thinks of Hambone? How can you tell?

Hambone made up ridiculous stories about Flint, Michigan, in order to deter Wilona from marrying Watson. He described igloos, freezing weather, and even told Wilona there were no blacks in Flint..... only a large number of Chinese, who lived on whale and seal meat. Hambone was wrong, obviously, and sharing information he garnered while watching a film called, Nanook of the North.

Mr.Watson wasn't one to worry much about the man he named Hambone (he thought his head looked like a hambone). Watson generally made fun of his competition.
