The Scarlet Letter

Can someone answer some Questions about Pearl Prynne and use quotes from the text to prove it?

This is throughout the entire novel not a specific chapter

1. How does she live?

2. How does she respond to conflicts?

3. Is she a strong person?

"On the outskirts of town, within the verge of the peninsula, but not in close vicinity to any other habitation, there was a small thatched cottage. " Here Hester lives an isolated life with her daughter Pearl.

Hester bears her punishment/conflict with a humble acceptance.

"The letter was the symbol of her calling. Such helpfulness was found in her, —so much power to do, and power to sympathize, —that many people refused to interpret the scarlet A by its original signification. They said that it meant Able; so strong was Hester Prynne, with a woman's strength."

Hester uses her "shame" to derive strength.
