When does Thomas express his disapproval of the Glade and/or the outside world?

In Chapter 23, Thomas first expresses his anger and resentment over the cruelty and danger that he and the others have been forced to endure. He wonders why anyone would be so evil to children. It is at this point that Thomas begins to think of revenge.
