How did Brenda & Jorge betray Thomas?
...whilst they were in the scorch? Did someone send them there? In what way and why did they betray Thomas and the rest?

If you are talking about the book, Brenda and Jorge don't tell Thomas that they work for WICKED. Eventually they tell Thomas, but it makes him have a feeling of betrayal. WICKED used Brenda and Jorge because they were immune, and sent them into the Scorch with Cranks. This was only part of the Variables. So, Brenda and Jorge betrayed them because they worked for WICKED.
