The Marrow Thieves

When Minerva teaches the group the word “abwaad,” which means “cooking on a fire,” Frenchie “repeat[s] it “over and over as softly as [he can], hoarding something precious” (pg. 109). Do you ever feel like that when you learn words in a different language

I need to know the answer to the question and specifically why frenchie and the others feel about learning the language

Language and identity are central themes in this book. Frenchie hangs on to every word he can of his native language because it brings him closer to his roots.
