The Marrow Thieves

Question is on the bottom

On page 210 Minerva whispered "Kiiwen. Kiiwen, promise?" and Miig nodded, then Minerva started to sing a song in a low but peaceful way that meant that she was ready to pass on. How does Minervas sentence "Kiiwen. Kiiwen, promise?" and her singing with her final breath affect Miig and the rest of the group? Provide quote

When Minerva dies, she tells them kiiwen, making them promise to return home. Where is home? Is it a literal or metaphorical place? That is up to the reader to decide.
